Diary of a UNIBEN Student - Clearance part 1

This is my story o, all the Mumu and rough play are contained therein. I know you want to know my name(nothing for you) in fact I will change it for I dwell in EKOSODIN. this is to make sure that stories that touch are avoided. Okay enough talk talk let's get to the tale.

"Hello baba how far na? I hear say Una school admission list Don show, you don check your own? " it was my secondary school friend calling to enquire my admission status. At that point, honestly I didn't know what to say because I was scared of checking my portal. "Ehmm I never check my own" I finally replied. "guy wetin you dey wait na? Do make you check o because all the people when I know when apply for Una school them nor give any of them". I was already scared before the call, but now my fright tripled on hearing that.  I just wanted him to leave my phone and leave me in peace or whatever it was I still had.  "okay make I check now I go call you later". I wasn't going to check it sha,  I just wanted him to hang up.

****20 minutes later****

I was still in the same position were I received the call,  I still. Had not checked my portal and my fears was reproducing faster than the queen termite. "what if you don't get admitted", "what if you are not given your course", "what if the course they give is very stupid", all these questions were running to and fro in my mind. I had many reasons to fear but finally I decided to check my portal. I applied for mechanical engineering, but at that point I was already praying Lord please even its Mathematics education give me". Immediately I clicked the login button I shut my eyes, waited for some time and then opened it gradually, at first I saw ADMITTED at the header. Oh what a relief that was. The next question became "admitted to do what? ". I hesitantly scrolled to the bottom of the page looks and behold there it was staring at me - mechanical engineering - my sweet mechanical engineering. At first I didn't know what to do and no body was at home to share the joy with. I unknowingly dropped my phone on my bed got up and walked straight to the bathroom(i still don't know why I went there till this day). I discovered I was in the bathroom for no reason, then I shouted, fell on my bed and went off, believe me it was one of the best slumbers of all time.

I had chores to do but at that point,  even Mumy's tongue lashing didn't matter, my bed on which I laid was overwhelmed with unfolded clothes they too didn't matter, only one thing did - I had been admitted - A UNIBEN STUDENT I HAD BECOME.

Few weeks later. Clearance began!

.............to be continued.
